HONG HA – HONG KIM – A LUOI HUMANITARIAN MEDICAL TEAM TRIP SEPTEMBER 22 – OCTOBER 5, 2010
Vets With A Mission is pleased to announce its third and final humanitarian team experience to the Central Highlands of VietNam. Dates of this team trip are September 22 – October 5, 2010. Trip price is $2,999 per person double occupancy plus a $100 non-refundable deposit. Medical/health and non-medical/health volunteers are needed! Viet Nam veterans are given first priority for a place on the team, but non-veterans are encouraged to participate. There is room for thirty (30) volunteers. Team members will be accepted on a first interest-first deposit received basis.
Team members travel to San Francisco on September 22 (your expense). The flight to VietNam is that night, after mid-night or September 23 Thursday arriving in Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City the morning of Friday, September 24. The team will overnight in Saigon at the 5 star Renaissance Riverside Saigon Hotel for two nights. On September 26 the team will take a flight from HCMC/SGN to Hue-Phu Bai, and then travel by bus or vans to the District capitol of A Luoi. The five nights in A Luoi will be in a 2 Star Hotel and 2 Star Guesthouses. The team will be in A Luoi from Sunday through Saturday, September 26 – October 2. The team will work six consecutive days – two days in Hong Ha, two days at Hong Kim and another clinic site in A Luoi. On Saturday late afternoon or early evening, October 2, the team will leave and travels to Hue for one night at the Imperial Hotel. After lunch on Sunday, October 3, the team will depart for Da Nang and for two nights there, October 3 & 4. There will be a farewell event on China Beach (weather permitting) in honor of all Vietnam vets on the team Monday, October 4, at the Furama Resort - a 5 Star hotel. On Tuesday, October 5, the team leaves Da Nang early this afternoon for Saigon and connects to a late afternoon flight bound for the US. That flight arrives the evening of Tuesday, October 5.
There is an optional overnight being offered in San Francisco but at additional expense, or you can choose to continue with your domestic flight home this evening.
The trip price of $3,099 includes economy-class international airfare SFO-SGN-SFO, two economy-class flights in Viet Nam SGN-HUI and DAD-SGN, all airport transfers, all team ground transportation, all hotels in Vietnam with daily breakfast, one team dinner, one team t-shirt, visa and processing.
