Looking for anyone I served with in the units. Its been tough at times but not as tough as some of the vets have had it. Married to a good woman for 25 years put up with a lot of crap from me. god bless all the vets who have been through hell and are still living it every day in one way or the other.
As Genterl Harold Moore said in his boom "I will never forgive my self for living while so many of my men died". Know what you mean

injoyed your web site,i was stationed at marable mountain oct 66 and 67.I was with the 3rd battalion 1st marines. Also i dont know if any of you know there was a hill 10 right near crows nest that i spent 4 months with 3rd battalion guarding the hill there, the beach was only a stone throw away from us, i was a wireman 2531 mos and we layed down the first wire communications in that area we put the wire on bamboo poles and wired all the way thru the village of nui kim son and further on the msr road.when i look at your pictures of marble mountain i was walking thru those caves constantly every week because i was stationed on hill 10 and ew would trouble shoot all the wire lines in that area besides holding down the hill 10 area at night.i was 19 at the time and very naive about the vc in the village and in marble mountain.how mant times my marine buddies went into the mountains where the buddas were and we didnt even no there were hospitals right in the mountains ,but it was a great experince and wonder if you realize that i was probably one of the first marines to establish communications in that area there was nothing when my battalion first got their, just marble mountain that dirt road with one house with sandbags that leads to the village of nui kim son and crows nest where we had the 106 topped on crows nest.i remember that 106 rifile going off at night as the marines shot at somethihg on the river , what memories they were i know i talked alot on your site but marable mountain crows nest hill10 were part of my life and always will be.thanks tony

Wonderful site and great work you're doing. I returned from my second trip to Vietnam in May this year, when I met Paul Murphy and Janene Steward in Vung Tau, who work in country with the Australian Veterans Vietnam Reconstruction Group, which seems similar in its aims to Vets with a Mission.

I am a 57yo Australian woman researching, collecting and editing life stories from womenfolk associated with Australia's Vietnam Veterans - long term project. For comparison, i would like to include a couple of life stories about women (wives, partners, sisters, daughters, mothers) associated with American and/or Canadian Vietnam Veterans. Please email me if you're interested or with any other comments re my project.

I applaude what all of you are doing and I appreciate each and every one of you. I have the utmost respect for all of our veterans, so much so that I joined the Army 19 years ago. I just came home from Afghanistan a couple of months ago and most likely will be going back there or to Iraq in the next year.

Your mission of assisting the people of Vietnam is a lot like what we are doing to help the Afghans. Of course we are still fighting the terrorists at the same time.

I enjoyed reading about your organization, the history and your mission.
