I was stationed HQ & A Company 704th Mt. Btn. Camp Enari, attended NCO Infantry Combat Academy. I was on 12 men team w/squad leader on SRRP and LRRP. We were on Search and Destroy missions for supplies, food and any VC in the Central Highlands -Cambodia, We had artillery fire and air support. Job was to be invisible and locate enemy movement and call in VC location, call smoke to establish location, call in fire support and move to another location, always selected for tunnels, we had many VC Kills, but few US troops. Company was ambushed when we moved to Camp Radicliff 3/ 4 of company evacuated. After saving pineapple SP5 R. Ubaldo I went out the back door firing a VC Sappers.
