My father was a SSG serving as a platoon commander in C Co 1st battalion 5th Marines in 1967. He was wounded on 9 May 1967 in Operation Union. He was patched up had some Hawaii R&R and was back in the fight. His name was also Robert Marquette. If anyone may have served with him I would love to hear from you. We lost him 3 years ago but he was a Marine to the end. Thank you.
