First trip to VN July 70- 71 330th AVN CO. July 1972 Second trip Long Thanh AAF 1st Sig Bde HHC FLT DET. Moved after NVA scared the brass and moved DET lock stock and barrel to Long Binh (Sanford Field) Xfer to 7th Aerial port Ton Son Nhut (Saigon) reassigned to Anh Sanh 125 Avn. never made it. Stopped at Plekieu for an overnight (got robbed of my only $20 dollars MPC). Rerouted back to Nha Trang 201st AVN Co 17th CAG 1st AVN BDE. Flew until ceasefire day (heard the call to ceasefire but was being fired at so I returned fire). (Binh Dinh Province). I am still in contact with my AC CMDR LT Nelson. All in all I served in USARV, 1st Signal BDE,STRATCOM, 1st AVN BDE and MACV during mission support for the ceasefire team in Binh Dinh Province. I flew and landed at many LZ / Camps from DaNang to Ca Mau. "Welcome Home Brothers and Sisters" Smitty RB22Red Baron Double Deuce.
