Army CWO, helicopter pilot. RVN 68-70 48th Assault Helicopter Company in Ninh Hoa on the ROK 9th (White Horse) Division HQ compound, Safest place in Vietnam. Transferred on extension to Dustoff. 498th Med Co (AA) Qui Nhon, LZ English, primarily supporting 173rd Abn. Then 254th Med Det (HA) based on Nha Trang airfield with "field" sites at Ban Me Thuot, Phan Rang air base, Phu Hiep (next to Tuy Hoa AFB), and Phan Thiet (LZ Betty). Worked mostly with 9th ROK, ARVN, RF/PF, and US advisors, SF, and LRRP's. Flying Dustoff was the best job I ever had.
