I am a 26 year old Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, my father was a Specialist 4 in the Army and he did a tour in Vietnam. Some Americans may not have supported what all you guys did while in a time of war, but as the son of a vet and a brother in arms, I say THANK YOU! Thank you for doing what you thought was right and having the fortitude to fight for your country when you were called on to do so. I have always been fascinated with the story of the Vietnam war, and it seems like I learn something new everyday. I know it wasn't easy for some of you to come back home to a country that didn't recognize or realize the importance or principal of the duties you performed, it wasn't even the greatest of homecomings, to come home and have people spit on you and call you a baby killer. But again, from a young "Devil Dog" to ALL my brothers in arms, no matter what service, WELCOME HOME! I personally thank each one of you for being the example to me that hopefully I am to those who come along when I'm gone.
