Stationed 1965-66 U.S. Navy Hospital, Da Nang fresh out of my residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Our core MD/DDS group included besides myself, General Surgery (2), Anesthesiology (2), Neurosurgery (1), Internal Medicine (2), GP (4), DDS (2), and a special hematology group from Mass General. Most of us were not career Navy and this would have been our first duty station. It was a great surgical team that was ready to leave when the year was up. This is the first time I have visited a Viet Nam site since I left. That is an interesting comment in itself. Now retired, teaching part-time @ Loma Linda Med Ctr.
