I?m searching for my biological father, who we believe is an American citizen.

I was born in Erlangen, Bavaria, Germany in September 1960, and was adopted by a Norwegian couple in 1961.

A few years ago the German authorities allowed the release of information about adoptions. I have recently received a document/certificate from the German authorities, in which the names of my biological parents are stated. Apart from their names and the towns they lived in at the time I was born, the information contains no further details. Therefore I don?t know their date of bith.

However, my biological mother (from here referred to as mother) was German, and my biological father (from here referred to as father) was Felipe Duran Camarillo, Bindlach (near Bayreuth, Bavaria, Germany). He is said to be an American soldier stationed near her home town, Bayreuth, Bavaria, Germany.

I have searched the internet by entering the name of my father: Felipe Duran Camarillo. The search results have come up with only one person who corresponds with his name:

Name: Felipe Duran Camarillo (or Camarillo, Felipe D. (Duran) )
Town: Seguin, Texas; USA
Born: May 26 1933
Died: April 3 1968
Married

Profession: Staff seargeant, US Army
Unit: Battery C, 2nd Battalion, 17th Artillery,
Start of tour: April 27 1967 (Vietnam)
Date of casualty: April 3 1968
Country: Vietnam, Tuy Phuoc in Binh Dinh Province
Buried: April 16 1968, Fort Bliss National Cemetery, El Paso County, TX

---

If Felipe Duran Camarillo, born on May 26 1933, was stationed in the Bayreuth area in Germany in 1960, in the US Army, he?s most likely to be identical with the person who the German authorities have registered as my biological father.

I?m searching for persons who knew Mr. Camarillo; family members or relatives, Veterans or anyone who he?s been acquainted to. Any help would be highly appreciated.
