injoyed your web site,i was stationed at marable mountain oct 66 and 67.I was with the 3rd battalion 1st marines. Also i dont know if any of you know there was a hill 10 right near crows nest that i spent 4 months with 3rd battalion guarding the hill there, the beach was only a stone throw away from us, i was a wireman 2531 mos and we layed down the first wire communications in that area we put the wire on bamboo poles and wired all the way thru the village of nui kim son and further on the msr road.when i look at your pictures of marble mountain i was walking thru those caves constantly every week because i was stationed on hill 10 and ew would trouble shoot all the wire lines in that area besides holding down the hill 10 area at night.i was 19 at the time and very naive about the vc in the village and in marble mountain.how mant times my marine buddies went into the mountains where the buddas were and we didnt even no there were hospitals right in the mountains ,but it was a great experince and wonder if you realize that i was probably one of the first marines to establish communications in that area there was nothing when my battalion first got their, just marble mountain that dirt road with one house with sandbags that leads to the village of nui kim son and crows nest where we had the 106 topped on crows nest.i remember that 106 rifile going off at night as the marines shot at somethihg on the river , what memories they were i know i talked alot on your site but marable mountain crows nest hill10 were part of my life and always will be.thanks tony
