USMC..1968 TET OFFENSIVE Served at Marble Mountain MAG-16, South Vietnam;; units I served with HMM-361, (temp to HML-163), ZULU Company and H&MS-16 ...4-1968 TO 2-1969
Lost some bro's over there. It was a long time ago.
..I remember all those rocket/mortar attacks at Mag-16,,we had quite of few wia-kia;s, the search & destroy and cleanups at base of Marble Mountain by the VC pow camp, and over by Dogpatch:; went up to Monkey Mountain (between us and China Beach)a few times on patrol: we got hit with sniper fire I remember a TV station up there. I saw a hugh rock that said "boom boom rock",,took some photos,,most of the grusome photos I took of dead gooks were taken away from
me at transient at Da Nang when I left country:
did some non crew resupply and extractions
on Hueys, 34's and 46's..man was I stupid then.
Shot at gooks as a door gunner on a Huey a few
times:: I don't think I ever want to see Nam ever
again. It really suck ,,bucu bucu suck,
