Thank you for this site. I had a cousin who served in the marines, his name was Bernard Merle Shattuck, he died nov 6 1967, drowned while at a rest area. I was hoping maybe somebody might had known him. or was there when it happened. i was told by from a co-worker who remembers the currant sucked several soldiers under and the area was closed off. The death took place in the Quang Nam DMZ. I only knew bernard as a very young kid, he was nicked named BUN. I would like to hear from any of his fellow marines, maybe share some pictures they might have of him as a marine. I have no idea what unit he was assigned too. thanks for all and any help. And THANK YOU ALL who served in the Viet Nam. (ret army)
