As a Marine from Texas I served proudly in Vietnam in 65, 66 and 67. I was and am still treated as a murderer by my family and the general public, however I have not allowed this to destroy me. I am horrified at times by the lies told about us and the way we are depicted in movies. We were there for the independence of these wonderful people and could have allowed them to be free if we were allowed to do our jobs. I hope someday the truth about Vietnam and those who fought there will be truthfully told in the theatre, on TV and in our schools. Sempe Fi and God Bless America.
