1st ID Vietnam, 68-70; TDYwith MACV, CMAC, SOG, 1st Cav etc, & various RVN units in III Corp with time in II & IV - I think - didn't always know where they dropped me off. Sometimes they didn't know either. Fortunately it was generally a friendly armed group that tripped over my team. Did so much TDY that my records (what little was left of them) had not a mark on them. The only documents other than my nearly blank 201 file were a couple of pages showing leave and a sheet or two from pay records. The clerk was a bit startled; he said I was virtually invisible to the system. If I wasn't standing right there in front of him he wouldn't have know I had been incountry. Just another day in the life; though I can't prove it.
