My father(CPL/SGT)Richard L. Monn was attached to First Recon , First Marine Division Da Nang 68/69.He arrived on his birthday(3/8/68). Was in 3 Tet offesenses. Decorated W/3 stars on his combat "V" and Navy Achievment Medal.I would like to hear from anyone that was in the region at that time , or , new him personally. I am his son and second generation Marine.I know he told me a lot of thing growing up , but would like to talk to someone that may have served with him.He died of a self inflicted gunshot wound along with killing my mother in 1993.
