Nice web site. I am the guy in Con Thien #3 running with my helmet in my hand and the longish hair. Today I teach 11th grade American history and of course teach about the war. This picture got me in a lot of trouble with my mom. I was always lying about how safe I was. I will always remember Con Thien and the mud and the blood. I was wounded there on December 5th, 1967. I came back to do another tour of duty in 1968. Some day soon I will again stand on the "Hill of the Spirits." Today I hear Vietnamese every day. Many of my students are Vietnamese. I have a special place in my heart for the place and the people. Who would of ever thought? Semper Fi. Dave Tatum 2195212 Cpl. USMC
