I went on 106 night patrols and 96 ambush patrols with H&S co. 3rd Tanks from August '65 till May'66.
Woke up in a tent on a hospital bed at Charlie med on May 7...don't know how I got there or what happened. Pulled perimiter guard there and helped corpmen at night decide who they would operate on next as the marines laid on pallets and bury body parts along the north perimiter as amputations were commom. I left vietnam on August 26 1966. Haven't slept well since.
