Nostalgic comments from many brothers. Served with the First Air Cavalry running supplies from Cam Ran Bay to Da Nang and thereabouts. Was a supply sergeant and part time door gunner on a Huey, 1964-1965. Was hit by shrapnel from a Russian Katusha Rocket, 175mm in the arm and stomach. Also I had my bought with skin cancer five years ago from the defoliant, orange, blue and green. Presently I am an XO Cpt. in Alpha Co., 1st Batallion, Oregon State Defense force along with other Nam vets and we all help each other with the PTS syndrome. We all love our country and would do it it again if asked. I appreciate being an American and and tell younger troopers how we live in the best country in the world and should give thanks to our earlier American Patriots who served their country and gave the supreme sacrifice.
