As i am a vietnamese and as i know, Vietnam was reigned by kings, and the last king is Bao Dai under the support of France. Mr. Hochiminh, who wanted that reign, organized the opposition group (with many names changed time by time) to overthrow the king Bao Dai. The French forces was too strong then, until the battle of Dien Bien Phu surrounded by the forces of Mr. Hochiminh. The French gave up the domination on Vietnam together with the king Bao Dai to sign a treatment of the division of Vietnam into 2 with Mr. Hochiminh. Then, the king Bao Dai surrender the reign "king" to authorize Mr. NgodinhDiem to form a Republic government to run the South Vietnam. Mr. Hochiminh saw then, and wanted to unitificating the country by military forces. Mr. Hochiminh organized a group to liberate the South Vietnam in 1960 and ended up in 1975. The new Vietnam war then 1960-1975, but unluckily, Mr. Hochiminh died in 1969 not to see the unification of the country. The war was not worth for million of Vietnamese died unknowly, led the poor country to be poorer, million of Vietnamese escaped the new communist regime to reside in other free countries, million of Vietnamese died during the escaping, million of vietnamese families were divided from physically to spriritually and morally up to today and the consequences of the war, that the vietnamese people have to suffer up to today and may be later to at least the century of 22 or 23. Do you think is that war worth for those said above created by Mr. Hochiminh and his communist party ? The military forces of United States came into South Vietnam by the request of the South Vietnam government to help the desperated military forces of the South Vietnam government to defeat the military forces of Mr. Hochiminh and his party. It does not mean the U.S. forces invaded the South VN in 1965 caused the military forces of the North Vietnam came into the South in 1960.
