I was in the 9th Engr. BN. USMC (Cmp. Pendleton end of 65 and went to Vietnam on the USS Ogden...June 66 arrived in Chu Lai....assigned to 1st Shore Party BN in August?...Lost my best friend HM3 Thomas Allen Lane KIA on the Operation? to Danang....we were reassigned to near Hill 327 west of the "Air Base" until I rotated back to "The World" in July of 67......Also TAD to 3/5 in CHU Lai area.....and TAD to 2/7 near Monkey Mountain?
