I was sgt.with the enginereers bn. 1 st. inf. div. Was with the first group to move into Camp Dong tom in the Mekong Delta in 1966.I arrived in Viet Nam about two weeks after the 1 st.Div. I went over with a group of I believe 22 sergeants out of washington dc area fort belvoir va.We joined up with the 1 st. div. shortly after they arrived there First at camp Bear cat Then about December or January we moved to dong tom in the mekong . I did mostly demolition work in the Metho river and supporting the Infantry operations I would love to hear from any one who went over with me or who was stationed with me in the delta
