My father, Capt. (ret) Joe Pat Harrison passed away this weekend from neurological problems as a result of his time spent in Vietnam. All I know is that he commanded three riverboats down the river and did this two or three tours. He received many medals as a result i.e. bronze star with a V, silver star, purple heart and, it appears, the Navy Cross. If anyone out there remembers my father, who was probably a Commander at the time, please contact me. We are desperate for any military info we can get.
