My dad, Donald Cheney 571st Ord. Co. Was stationed in Phu Bai from Jan. 1970-Dec. 1970. He went through basic in Ft. Dix '69, unit D23. After basic he went to Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo '69, unit D34. After 'nam he went to Ft. Benning, GA 608th Ord. Co. '71. He remembers a few names. Vietnam-"Dog" Zappata. Ft. Dix- Dennis Barker, Robert Burdet (or Burdette). Ft. Leonardwood George Bracket, and Harold Ward. He's told me a little about his experiences, but I didn't want to dig. I can't imagine what it could've been like like for the men and women over there.
