My time at the weapons station was as a Lance Corporal on guard duty from mid 1970 to 1971, living at the Marine Barracks. The few people I remember was Cpl. Tom Upson, a guy called "Moquin" and I dated the pretty girl that worked in the Barracks PX store called Denise Michelle Norman.
In 1971 I received orders to "West Pack", Okinawa, Japan as a Combat Photographer. The last three months of my 3 year service was as a CPL, with the 3rd Recon Battallion on the USS Tripoli LPH 10, Part of the Second Battalion 4th Marines. "Semper Fi "...
