My dad William H. Shaughnessy was a SGT.He was an E-5 pay scale. He was an ASSAULT BREACHER OPERATOR. I looked it up for his military specialty. He did tell me that he
was one of the men that had to pick up dead bodies/parts.He is also suffering from PTSD.I am having some problems on some of the stuff he
told me....i have no clue how to look it up and where. He was a 3rd engineer for the 3rd division B-H-S.( Dont know what the B-H-S stands for).He
also told me that he was 5th marines division 1966-1967....3rd marines division 1968-1969......2nd marines division 1970-1971. Now as far as places go he gave me a list but never told me when he was there which makes it harder for me to find stuff. He was also wounded in nov 1968.How i am not sure but it wasnt bad enough for them to send him home. There are so many websites i have been on and i am just gettting totallylost. If you know of any websites that i may go to and hopefully find info i would appreciate it very much.I have alot of respect for what you guys
did over there.I wasnt born until 1973 so i just started to learn alot about that war.I would like to thank you so much for taking the time to talk to me.I have a picture of him and another man together from the war.He cannot remember who the other man is.I am trying to make a book for my dad with photos and all but all i have is this one picture. If anyone knows my dad or has any other pictures i would like to talk to you and/or get a copy of any pictures you may have.I greatly appreciate it.If you would like a copy of the picturee i have please e-mail me and i will be glad to send it to you.
