I was there in 66/67 with B Trp 1/10 Cav. We built
base camp at tittie mtn. and then ran road patrol,
convoy escort and reactionary force. I have been
back in 2001 and 2006. We are planing on another
trip next year. I served with a great bunch of guys.
We loved each other and took care of each other.
I went back to Pleiku base camp and to
DaLat and Kontoom, you would'nt believe how much it has changed, and yet its still the same.
The Vietnam war was the most honorable
conflict we have been involved in lately. I'm
proud I served. It bothers me that we just gave up.
The vietnamese people still love us. The commies
were pretty hard on them. I still get ill at people
that were cowards and refused to serve saying
history proved them right. They are still cowards,
that is what history has proved. Sorry; I will get
off the grandstand. Welcome home guys. I hope
life has been as good to you as it was to me.
Please wait...
