I was in country from Oct 66 to Nov 67. I was with Delta Company ,1st Battalion 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division. I went in at Chu Lai and was on Hill 54 and Hill 10 which was north of Chu Lai. I was a 0311 Rifleman. Sure did like that M-14, I was on Union I and Union 2 and Swift, As bad as the pictures look like that Nui Loc Son was a good rest spot.I perfered to be up there then on Hill 51, I believe the Army called it LZ Ross A lot of work went into making Hill 51 secure there in Que Son . A lot of good men lost here lives in that valley. I thank God that I was able to come back home alive.Semper-Fi from all of ( Dying Delta) D-1-5
