was an Ordnance Captain assigned to a MACV team in Cu Chi in 1971/72. I had some bad experiences there and in a previous assignment in Thailand and Laos. I spent a LONG time getting all this out of my head. Now I am trying to get a handle around it. One of my problems is that I did such a good job of forgetting it I canโt remember the Team number. We were primarily a logistics advisory team to the 25th ARVN. We were commanded by a Colonel and were mostly logistics oriented to the 25th ARVN. We billeted in some of the sand bagged and sectioned Quonset huts of the old US 25th hospital buildings. Two men to a unit. The reason I am trying to put all this back together is that I am suffering effects from Agent Orange (let's here it for Tay Ninh province!). Do you know anywhere that I can find a listing of locations and team numbers?
I was also CO of HQ and Main Support Company, 7th Maintenance in Korat, Thailand where we went into Laos as civilians from Vientiane to do gun repair work on the west side of the Ho Chi Minh trail at SF and indigenous fire bases. Obviously there are no "records" of that and I am trying to find anybody who was with me there. The only name I can remember is George Fienne (no sure of spelling) who was an Engineering 03. Thank you for whatever help and advice.
