hello all, i am the son of one of the many who fled the country for safety after the war. for better life and to put it another way, to be more selfis and ignorant...i have recently went back twice to vietnam, all the time i was back there, i could'nt help but feel very guity and very selfish. i live in england with not millions of £s but plentiful to eat, money to spend on usless objects and material things.basically taking everything for granted. since i've been back, for the past year, i have had these urges to help. i am willing to move back and live.settle in the country, adopt a child, help the community etc.
i am not trying to be a saint or a god etc. but just to try and be more kind and giving, just trying to think of ways of helping those in need(really in need)just trying to go against this ignorant and selfish society that we live, while some where else in this same world, there are suffering.
my two children are still young 3yrs & 5 yrs.
my wife agree with me but she stress that we lack funds.we need to look after ourselves befor we can help others. we are willing to help but dont know how exactly.
i would love advice from anyone who has ideas of how i could help those in need,
links to site for volunteers/charity
paid work such as teaching, translater etc
any useful information or relevant website would be of help.
god bless you all and let the past be the past but also remembering that we still have the after effect of the war to solve. i would just like to do my part but lack info. funds and resources. please help, thank you for your time
