I'm really not sure why, but I am both proud and ashamed of my service in nam. I am very proud to have served in a USMC recon unit (force co. 1st recon batt. 1st mardiv) in danang & phu bai 67/68. I would have gave my life for my country at the time. Now looking back knowing what i know now, I am ashamed of the government that sent its young men, most mere boys to die in a god forsaken rice paddy or hill top for absolutly no real purpose! I love my country and totaly support all of our armed forces, but we need to stop fighting these (polititions wars) like Bushes killing our boys right now!! All just to keep the publics atten. off his inability locate and take out 1 man, ben ladin, shame on you president bush, do you sleep well at night? I don't have'nt since vietnam, GOD BLESS EVERYONE WHO HAS EVER OR EVER WILL SERVE OUR GREAT COUNTRY, GOD BLESS AMERICA, AND SEMPER FI FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!
