Arrived in country July 1966 from JUMP SCHOOL.
Assigned 1st Platoon, Co. B, 1st Bgde, 2/502.
Med Vac - Japan in November 1966.
Returned to Unit from Hospital in April 1967.
Completed IC tour and reassigned to 3rd Bgde, 82 Abn Div. Deployed - Detroit City Riots summer 1967. January 1968 re-deployed (overnight) with 3rd Bdge 82nd Abn Div (Recon) back to RVN (TET).
Returned home to Ft Brag early out for public service employment.
I'm looking to hear from anybody who might have been with me?
I remember my point back-up man on his M-79, Alzamoro from NJ / M-60 man David Higging from Calf. (we were in hosp in Japan together) / Stanley (Rockey) LaRochelle from Rhode Island / Billy Bear / Sqd-Sgt Bess, 1st Plt-Sgt. Taylor...
There is so much more I can't or don't want to recall, but I guess that comes with the process of aging.
If I don't get any response to this message, I'm sure we'll all see each other at the final formation before our greator.
