Served in Vietnam in 1969, with the 3rd Marine Division HqBn at Quang Tri, Dong Ha, Rockpile, and Cua Viet... ( All in I Corp ) 2531/2532/3500 Communication Radio Operator (PRC-25), Radio Relay Equipment Operator, and Motor Transport - 3/4 ton, up to 2 1/2 ton Truckdriver....
Served as a PRC-25 Comm. Radio Operator while out in the field on combat patrols and conveys....
Served in Vietnam in 1970-71 with 1st Marine Air Wing at DaNang, and Marble Mountain area ( I Corp ) as a 2531/2532 Communication Radio & Radio Relay Operator and as a 3500 Motor Transport Driver....
Have some good photos of Nam ( In-Country ) in 1969, 1970-71....
My best friend & buddy from High School days, Rocky Wade Hanna, PFC E-2, 2486550 / 0811, USMC was KIA in 1969 within 5 days into country at Quang Tri while out on his first every patrol and was ambushed while returning to the base....
He Proudly was a Good & Outstanding Friend and a Proud Marine with Honor.... He received the Silver Star for his action during his short time while in Nam....
I Salute Him, and All those Members of the Armed Forces that was KIA, Wounded, MIA, and those that Returned Home Safely, and to those who are still suffering from PTSD, and the Homeless Vets.
