I was in the Navy during 1973 on A0-53 an oiler on a tour to VN and surrounding countries. It was a wild time and not one of my better experiences.
(ring a bell?)
I became a believer at the age of 34, worked in various ministries as a buss pastor, ministry assistant, and missionary work. Since that time I have become an atheiest, explaining everything away in a cultural, social way What has brought me to that place is the power struggles of social groups and the pressures to conform to a groups thinking. Just recently I was verbally attacked, in part for linking to VN history in your site, and given the demeaning "I'll say a prayer" followed by another verbal attack.

I am distressed at the public's failure to remember our backing out of the U.S. support of Ho Chi Minh back in 1945 that likely would have prevented the loss of 8 million lives in the area. I hope it doesn't happen again.

I want to say, althou I don't share your beliefs in G-d, I do believe your walk in caring for the people is to be commended. It is refreshing to find people who try to make a differenc. I honor this organization.
