I was USNR stationed on USS New Jersey BB-62 Sept 1968 to 13 May 1969. E-3, attached to 4th Div. Stood navigation watches on the bridge as a helmsman. I have 8mm, vhs and DVD footage of Westpac cruise 68-69, including shellback initiation when we crossed the Equator. I enlisted at US Naval Reserve Center, next to Dodger Stadium in October 1967. Currently Latah County Veterans Service Officer (semi-retired).
