I served with the 577th in Tuy Hoa, I was involved with the move from Tuy Hoa to Don Duong. I had an 11b infantry training at Fort Polk La. So I was volunteered for a gunner on the CO's jeep. After getting our camp completed I was assigned to be a welder and welded on the Rock crusher located in Don Duong. I remember when we left Don Duong to come stateside; we couldn?t get a ride off the hill so someone took a 2 1/2 ton truck and we loaded it and drove down ourselves. If you served with A co 577th in 1968-1969 contact me a [email protected]
