I first served starting in Augest 1968 in "B " Company 3rd Amrac Bn. 1St Marines. Alot of us were transfered to Battalion Landing teams with the 26th marines that was actived again just for these operations. One of these operations was called "Bold Mariner" was supposed to be the largest landing since Korea. I was with both B.L.T. 2/26 & B.L.T. 3/26 one of the ships actived was the U.S.S. New Jersey, what a site to watch. Love & peace to all my brothers, you are all still in my prayers daily. Cpl. Garry Hurley
