I was @ LZ Nancy from Dec. 68' to May 69'. I was in Co. C 14th Engr. When we got there we were in tents for awhile and then built our own hooches. Tin roof and plywood walls with screens, surrounded by sand bags. On my first mine sweep we caught sniper fire. When it was over our squad leader was no where in site. When we returned to LZ he had removed his gear from our hooch. We never saw him again. Our new squad leader was a hard stripe corporal we called Red. If anyone remembers me please contact.
