I served in Vietnam May 65 till may 66. I was stationed at Nha Trang with the 6253rd CAMRON O-1E aircraft. (FAC). I was sent to Danang in August of 65 til November 65 then went to Hue and spent time up at Dong Ha. Left Dong Ha and Hue in April 66 and was sent back to Nha Trang. I flew in the back seat of the O-1E along with the pilot on observation and air strike missions with the code name of Birdog. Flew several times across the border into Laos under the code name Hounddog. I didn't envie the flights over Laos. We kept tabs on the MACV-SOG Teams on the ground there until we were replaced with what is called Covey. Wrote a book called DEROS NEVER that can be ordered at any book store in the country. Aslo have a web sight at atlasbooks.com where you can go in and read a chapter of my book and also order it if you want. Thomas LaRoe
