I was an HM2 "Doc" with the 1st Marine Div. FLC from 1967 to 1968. I was in Da Nang at Camp Books ( Red Beach) and at FLSG Bravo in Dong Ha. I was in Hue when Tet began. Went on many truck convoys , med-evacs, and also worked for about 6 weeks at the Childrens Hospital sponsored by Marines at Red Beach, Camp Books. We went into the villages as part of the pacification program and held sick call. Was at Vangergriff or LZ stud giving medical support to the Marines. I try to dwell on the few positive aspects of this time as I have suffered from PTSD for so many years. Much I don't or can't remember and it is just as well forgotten. Those who served with me, living and dead, are not forgotten. Their faces are many, though the names I recall are few. Their sacrifices are eternal and will not be forgotten.
