I was stationed at the 91st Evacuation Hospital in Chu Lai January 1971 to November 1971. I was part of the Admissions and Dispositions staff, spending most of my time in and around the ER handling administrative duties concerning KIAs, WIAs and all sorts of injured. We had to talk to and gather info from the wounded, process the dead (body bag, call units, safe-keep personal property, etc). It was a hard time for me, but certainly not as hard as what the guys who had their lives on the line every day had to go through.
Please wait...
