Basic at Ft. Dix then onto Ft. Carson Co. Arrived in Bien Hoa,Vietnam August 1970 andwas stationed with the 199Th. just north of Long Binh. Was transfered to FSB just north of Xuan Loc until the 199th. deactivated. Transfered to Cam Ranh Bay with the 360th. trans. petro. Run convoys to Phan Rang,Bao Loc,Dalat and up into the highlands Ban Me Thout etc. Great to be home. Have many pictures but my memory of names is gone. Hope everyone is doing well.

I was stationed at Camp Schmidt with the 126th Finance from July 1967 to July 1968. Never saw combat but did experience the Tet Offensive. If John

169th combat engeneers 1967 1968 a company cook.my weight back then was 115 pounds and i was called on many times to serve as a tunnel rat and this was not ducumented anybody recall me or know me.

Aug 1966 to 1967 Morning report clerk, mail clerk and more I remember the ammo dump hit, the fire fight with I guess another us unit in the middle of a muddy rainy nite, Spent a little time in 93rd evac Hosp but no big deal.

I was with "C" Co 1/11, 1/5 on the "D". We were the only straight leg inf Bn there. They just used the birds to kick us out into the elephant grass and canopey jungle...
I later went to DaNang as LNO for BG J. HIll.

I'm searching for friends / acquaintances of my father, EDWARD HERALD (aka "Clappy") who served in Vietnam from June 1967 to July 1968. [1st Marines, Headquarters Division, Communications - Radio Relay] A few places he was located are Hill 55, Anhoa, and Que Son or Khe Sanh; he's also mentioned Operations Cochise, Swift, & Auburn.
If anyone has info about him / his unit please reply via email & I can provide contact info. He would like to hear from anyone who remembers him!

I Arnold Wayne Lowther am the son of SP5 Lowther, Harold Wayne. I would like to know the whereabouts of SP5 Lester Thompson, RA54342924. I hope that he is still living so I could talk to him about the crash he was in that took the life of my dad.They were working on the airstrip at Cung Son an the 5th of April 1966. I was a truck driver for the 369th signal Battalion, B co., in Long Bihn. A co. was in Saigon and C co. was in Canto. Our battalion headquarters was in Vung Tau. I drove to all these areas on a regular basis, and would like to hear from anyone else who did. I was there in 69 and 70.
