I served from Jan. 1969 to Jan. 1970. I was a 31M40 (Radio Relay and Carrier Attendant) in the 1st Signal Brigade, 41st Battalion, Co. B in the US Army. We were stationed in what they called ?ROK Valley.? We helped provide communications for some 30,000 Korean solders in the Phu Thi Valley. While I was there, God blessed me with the privilege of leading some of them to the LORD

Major, Medical Corps, Chief of Surgery, 24th Evac at Long Binh May68-69. About 1,800 of our men were operated on by me during that incredibly busy year at our place. "If you get to the 24th, we will get you home".
Tremendous website, historical accuracy suberb. My lst glimpse of truth was in reading "Bright Shining Lie" by Neil Sheehan which makes it clear that we were fighting Ho Chi Minh, who, communist or not, was essentially the George Washington of Viet Nam and only wanted unification of the land that for 600+ years had been ruled by foreigners. Friends like Doug Young of VWAM tell me today's VN is a special place and they have finally achieved some peace.

I served with the 52nd Signal and was stationed in Bac Lieu and Can Tho during 70-71. I returned to Nam in 2002 to see what had changed. Very little remains of US presence. Time has healed over many wounds. Looking forward to going back again soon.

Was a penpal to a serviceman, George Alan Ingalls. He died 36 years ago, April 16 saving his entire patrol from certain death. He was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. Thanks to all of the brave men and women of the Armed Forces then and now.

I was not in country. I was in the United States Marine Corps stationed at Parris Island, S.C.. I have alot of respect for all of my BROTHERS and SISTERS that were in country and the ones that were not like I was. We did our jobs here to keep things going to them and keep them a live.
