My husband Roy was a squad leader in 1965 and 66. He died from Leukemia in 2002. The VA says the type he had wasn't caused by agent orange. His most fervant wish was that he could bring his squad home alive. As far as I can find out he did.He was a Sgt. 101st Airbourne Division. He meant so much to me--would love to hear from anyone who knew him and can tell me anything about him--Thanks--Sharon(wife of 40 years)

I was a young girl during the Vietnam war and wore a POW bracelet at the time. I still have it and the name on it is Raymond Bobe. I think of his family and wonder about them. Was he married? Did he have children? How did his parents deal with his disappearance? I have such admiration for the men and women who served in Vietnam. I didn't understand it at the time. I'm 49 now, have done historical reading and met men who were there. My heart goes out to them for all they did and lived through...and then suffered when they returned home....and continue to suffer today. My heartfelt sympathy to all and a huge apology for the way you've been treated. Thank you for all you've done.

Looking for people that may have known my husband. Ed passed away 1/5/07. His name was Edwin "Ed" Bland. He served two tours. The 1st was with HqCo. 26th Marines when it was activated at Camp Pendleton 6/1966. He was with the 26th Marines until around 2/1967. They did landings off the Iwo Jima during 1966. He transferred to H&HS 3/9 in 3/1967 when he was wounded. His second tour was with Hq Btry 12th Marines at Camp Carroll and Dong Ha from 5/1968 to 6/1969. He was on the USS Estes with the 26th Marines, and the USS Valley Forge-I don't know when he was on the Valley Forge, but it must of been before 3/1967. If you knew him, I would love to hear from you.

I was serving in 40 Commando R.M in the mid sixties. Somewhere in Borneo we were visited by an American Special Frorce Officer. He was interested in the Location method we were using.
I was very impressed by his studiousness.
For a while I felt a closeness to our American Brothers in the field.

I served with B co 503 MP BN. 1965-66-67 we were sent to the Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to quell the revolution in 1965. I worked check points and motor patorl along side 82nd div abn (in the streets). I know of only one of our mps being wounded (Burce Yingst). There were others that were medivaced, but cannot remember thier names. In late nov. 1965 the 503 returned to Ft. Bragg, leaving those with more time to serve in the DR. We became a reinforce company and were than identifed as the 218 MP Co. I was short and returned to Ft. Bragg in 1967. The rest of the unit was mixed with the 118 mp co and several other units, and sent to 2 corps. Khanh Hoa province at Nah Trang on the Rach song cai river. To this day, I don't know who of my company survived and who did not. Although there is a re-union every year of 503-218 mps. I have not wanted to know even after 35-40 yrs what happened to buddies I served with went to Viet Nam and what ever may have happened to them. I would like to find Sgt. Jerry Bell, Sgt Gooch, Sgt. bell (different bell) and others who served at that time. The 218 was shipped to 2 corps. in late 1967, went through tet 68, and didn't return to the states unitil 1971, or 1973 I would like to hear from anyone serving with the 503 MP Bn. from 1964 -1967 or from any one in the 218MP co. from late 1967 till thier return in 1971-73 ? Many do not remember the invasion of th DR., That 82 Div. ABn suffered many wonded, and or about 45 KIA. I have no idea what the 218 did after Nov. 1967. Thanks Thom Gates us56364843
