I was in MCB 1 at Red Beach in 66 & 67. I'd like to locate some of my buddies that were with me. I've been writing to a vietnamese lady that had a little shop there. When they got overrun in 75, she lost everything she had. I've sent her some pictures of friends that she had in my outfit. She did the laundry for seabees & marines. Anybody that remembers her can e-mail me, & I'll send you a letter of conformation that you can send her. She sent me some pictures of her & her family that I can send to anyone that wants them. She has been trying to reach friends since 1975. Drop me a line & I'll put you in touch with her. Her name is Dat, Thi Bich, Phan. At first she had a store at the base of Freedom Hill 327. Where she sold beer & fries. She has signed several guest books in Seabee & Marine sites.

Corpsman with the 1st. Med. Batt. in Chu Lia & Da Nang, Aug. 66 to Feb. 1967. Worked Triage and surgical I.C.U. Busy and crazy times. Voluntaried for the field and served with a combined action platoon (delta-3) till wounded and medevaced right back to 1st. Med. (may of 67) and sent home with a medical discharge. All & all, I would do it all over again. I haven't worked around any finer men such as the marines and corpsman of that period sence.

Hello,
My name is Lauren Priest and I attend Handsworth Secondary School. I'm in my senior year and I'm currently taking History, part of our curriculum is a yearlong project that we, in small groups, work on.
Along with two of my classmates, we were given Vietnam do our presentation on. I was wondering if anyone knew of any Veterans living in or near Vancouver, BC Canada that would be interested in meeting with us, or even coming into our class as a guest speaker, any help you would be greatly appreciated. Please contact me at [email protected]

Served with the 390th TFS @ Da Nang 1970-1971. Glad to see an outfit dedicated to healing, restoration and renewal for the people of Vietnam. I never could understand how they could still smile while a war was going on all around them, as though it were a normal part of every day life. Thanks

I just read The tribute to his dad and all Nam Vets by Dallas Ward. Dallas is the son of VWAM excutive director, Chuck Ward. Dallas is in the Marine infantry school and will be deployed soon to Iraq. He already knows first hand of the sacrifice of being a Warrior for Freedom. During his mission trips with his parents, veterans, and others to Vietnam he discovered that to be Free, first one may have to make a stand agaisnt tyranny, but when the battle is over reconcilliation is a must.
In the future I can see Dallas taking reconcillation missions to Iraq and Afganastan. Please pray for Dallas and all of our military and the enduring peace of our Lord to be in all combatants hearts.
