Never got to go in country---went to Thailand on leave with SSgt Stoltz in April 75....got our visa canceled for Vietnam for obvious reasons..would like to explore going with a med mission team.
I was the junior medic on my team.

Stationed at Phan Rang AB from Feb. 1969 to 1970. Assigned to 614th Tactical Fighter Squadron (the Lucky Devils) and was a crew cheif on a F-100D (VP-814). My pilot was Capt. John Casper who later in life went on to become a shuttle

I served with E Troop, 17th Cav, 173rd ABN, at Bien Hoa from April, 66 to April 67. does anyone remember the helo crash when the tail boon came off when the pilot flared to land and threw all of our people out killing 4, Simpson, Armstrong, Carrillo, and Johnson. Also, when David Branch was killed by the road mine that went off while two other guys from another unit were propping, killing them as well. Would like to hear from anyone that served with me.

Served in Vietnam 68-69 HM3 Corpsman with 1st Tanks, 1st Marines on Hill 55 outside DaNang. Loved my Marines, Semper Fi. I now work with Marines in counseling at Parris and Air Station near Beauford, SC. Any Marine there who remembers Doc, send me a line.
