i was in the republic of vietnam in 1970-71. my job was to keep the corbra helicopter in the air. i was mia for 41 days. i served with a whole heart, for those who have freedom here in the United States of America. I was and still willing to give my life for the freedom in which we as Americans enjoy every day that we live. I worked with millions of dollars worth of equipment and countless number of fine people in uniform. Now I will be homeless in 3 months. I feel uncertain of my future.

My name is Lorenzo (Larry) Gallegos, aka Pancho. Our HQ was in Chu Lai but I was stationed in LZ Hawk Hill, served with 1st Platoon, Co B, 523rd Signal Battalion VHF Section between Oct 1970 - May 1971. Also did some trips to LZ Center. we then moved to Da Nang until my tour ended in the middle of May 1971.
I’m looking for anyone stationed in Hawk Hill during my stay, regardless of unit. I’m starting a VA claim for PTSD. I need to link some events that happened there, ie..sapper and mortar attacks, incoming,, etc…Which happened a few times but don’t know approximate dates. Anything that will jog my memory. Don't need real specific dates but anything will help. Also, if anyone knows of a website that has a chronological listing of attacks on Hawk Hill. But most important would like to hear and maybe get in touch with some of my ole buddies and co-workers
Thank You for serving to protect the Freedom we all enjoy
