I was with the 43rd Signal Battalion Alpha Company at Dak To-1 (Tan Cahn) from the summer of '67 through March of '69. Our radio site was setup right at the door step of the ARVN 42nd and MACV compound. Our radio van was located between the water tower and the wooden building that housed a 15kw diesel generator that supplied electricity to the 42nd and MACV compound. Just before I left Nam we moved the site inside of the compound. I made a lot of tips down to Dak To 2 to the fuel depot to get fuel for our generators.

I served with Det. 1 of 6990th Sec. Air Force at CamRahn Bay Vietnam in 1971. I arrived in Jan. of that year. Towards the end of my tour, we were sent to NKP Thailand. I would like to hear from some of my brothers who I served with that year. I flew on C130's. Does anyone know of any reunions? I can find very little on my squadron in Vietnam.

Never served in Viet Nam. Spent 1969-1974 in the Pentagon and have always felt that my military service was less than that of those who served in Viet Nam.

served 2 tours with the Ban Me Thuot Signal Detachment. We were stationed with MACV located at the Bungalow Compound. it burned to the ground i believe on the 17th of dec 1969. lost everything i had. i am in contact with 2 men i served with, ordean tweeden and kenneth thornton. i was there from march 69 to aug 70. i worked a lot with the local Montagards trying to teach them the use of military radios. if anyone reconizes any of this and would like to contact me feel free to do so. excuse my typing , this old country boy is too old school for these computers.
