In Country 16 Sept. 1966, attached to Co M,3rdBn,1stMar, 1st Mar Div (Rein)FMF. 0311 Rifleman. Transferred to H&SCo, 3rd Bn,1st Mar, 7Dec66. This Co. was then atteched to SU#1, ServCo, HqBn(Rein), 1st Mar Div (Rein) FMF. Served in a CAP unit until Rotating in Nov. 67 back to Camp Pendleton. Need help finding other men who served with me within that CAP unit to support my claim of the events that transpired immediately after joining the CAP unit. I need to speak to anyone who was with me in the village of Nui Kim Son, just below Marble Mountain for that period of time. I can remember only a couple of names after 41 years. (Dale Welcher; Kenneth (Dusty) Gaines). Dale did visit me in Quincy Il. just after our return to the States. (Mid 1968). I have not been able to find either person. This help is desparately needed, as required for VA assistance connected with PTSD. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as may mean the difference of being homeless, as cannot work. I need this for my case file. Please call me ASAP. SEMPER FI. Thanks John M. Conley. Home-(951-243-7924);Cell-(951-206-7929)
