My father, ret LTC Donald H. Threlkeld, served as an advisor to the 9th ARVN Division in 1968-1969, MACV, Team 60, reporting to General Tran Ba Di in the Mekong Delta region. On July 17, 2006 my father passed away from multiple illnesses some of which were the result of exposure to agent orange. Dad never complained about his diseases and held strong to spreading freedom throughout the world. He was a solid Christian, great soldier, best father and friend a son could ever have. He always spoke highly of the soldiers he served with in Vietnam. He often wondered what had happened to many of them. I was able to find General Tran Ba Di since my father's death through one of the officers of the 9th ARVN Div. General Di is alive and well and with his family after many years of separation from them. I am trying to find out as much information as I can about my father and his tour of duty in Vietnam. If you served with my father or knew him I would love to hear from you and can be contacted at [email protected] Thank you for serving such a great cause. God Bless you and as my father always told me, "Keep the Faith" .

Hey every one.I thank you for all you have given.
I have a friend Named Carl Micheal Givens I am trying to help. He was in Vietnam at the age of 17 yrs old. He saw a lot of people killed and now has PTSD. We are trying to find anyone who might have information on a place call Stau Gard in Gremany. I do not know if it is spelled right. He stated he went there for a while for mental help. He was part of the 82 second signal core and he was 31J20. A communications specialist. He was stationed in Bin Wau in Vietnam.

If you have any information or know him please respond to my email. [email protected]

There are alot of books written about the Vietnam War, but the book "The Twins Platoon" is one that can be read by anyone, you don't need a military background to understand it. The Twins Platoon is a true, personal story about a group of "boys" who were sworn into the Marine Corp. during a Minnesota Twins baseball game on June 28, 1967, then shipped off to book camp. Before the end of the year most of them were in Vietnam. This is one of the best "History" books for anyone who wants to know what the Vietnam war was like directly from the soldiers. You will feel like you are standing in their boots
