(Dear webmaster, please delete my first submission.)
I was in Long Binh with the 169 Engr. Btn. for 18 months during which time the main supply dump was hit resulting in a massive explosion that lasted for over 12 hours. I am interested in written accounts of the incident, photos, and other memorabilia for my archives. I will pay for repros, etc. I am a member of VVA, AMVETS, VFW and the VFW Motorcycle Club. Welcome home!

Anyone know of the two pilots that crashed thier F4 Phamton jet over Marble Mountain MAG-16 on May 22. 1968? A couple of my marine bro's and I saw the plane with it's wing on fire..it looked like a paper plane out of control. It was during daylight hours and we saw both pilots eject. One pilot steered his parachute right down our flightline. The other one landed out in the China sea. Our choppers went out and rescued him. We ran to help the one on the flightline. I remember he had leg wounds. I think he said they had been shot over North Vietnam and were trying to make it back to the Da Nang airfield. He kept making jokes. Our medics got there fast and took him to sickbay. Anyone know of the fate of these two heros? I never got thier names.
